"We met Alicia after finishing an unsuccessful session with the second dog trainer we reached out to for help with our rescue dog Frankie. Frankie is an 18 lb, year and a half old Frenchie with severe fear aggression and reactivity to humans and dogs. We adopted her from a rescue that was not forthcoming about her behaviors and had been very unsuccessful in finding anyone locally that had knowledge of how to help a dog like her. When we called Alicia we were pretty hopeless. We had been told by a trainer and a vet that some dogs just couldn’t be helped and that Frankie was one of them. Frankie was a complete angel at home with just our family but unable to be around any other humans or dogs without SEVERE reactivity. Frankie would lunge, snarl, jump, growl with all of her might when she encountered another human or dog. She did not tolerate them within 30 feet of her and couldn’t not tolerate anyone in our household without constant lunging growling snarling and pulling on the leash. It seemed impossible.
When we called Alicia she patiently listened to our concerns and offered to come and do an in home consultation. At the first in home consultation she spent more time with us and gave us more tools than our prior trainer had over the past two months. Since we have started working with Alicia we have seen progress and gained more hope and confidence in our ability to help Frankie live her best life with our family. It has been a complete work in progress and there is still much work to be done, but today Alicia was able to come into our home and have Frankie off leash, playing with her and acting like the sweet girl that we know she is.
There is not a more dedicated, passionate, and hard working dog trainer in the treasure valley than Alicia and her knowledge of canine behavior and aggression in dogs is an absolute God-send. "Winnie the Pooh now Odie has made a huge transformation with our Training Programs. When Michella first reached out to us for training she described that she had tried another training but that it did not go as planned and actually made things worse. Odie had been rescued and had been living with Michella for over a year at this point in time. When she first adopted him he came very skittish and had heart problems which then lead him to have heart surgery. She knew he needed help because he did not have the best quality of life with being so scared of everything. She explained that after her first dog trainer came over and worked with him he became extremely worse and would only come close enough to her if her other dog was around and would not come on his own, she couldn't even pet him. Where as before she was had worked with him he would sometimes come and snuggle up and hang around her. We made an amazing break through with his confidence while he was staying with us for his 4 week Board and Train!
